What is breakdown cover at home?

It's an add-on to Roadside Assistance, which covers you for breakdowns within 1/4 mile from your home. Without it, you'd need to break down more than 1/4 mile from your home to claim.

We call this add-on At Home, but it's also known as Home Start breakdown cover.

If your car won't start at home, it could be because of a flat battery, failed starter motor or a faulty alternator – all things we can help with.

Will the AA come to my house?

If you add At Home to your policy, we'll come to you if your car breaks down at home.

When you need us, we'll usually get to you in under an hour, or at a time that suits you.

We fix 9 out of 10 breakdowns at home, and if we can't fix your vehicle, we'll sort out the recovery of your vehicle as usual.

I've broken down at home with no cover, what now?

You can buy home breakdown cover any time, but it'll cost you you more if you add it when you need to claim.

How many call-outs can I make in a year?

You get unlimited call-outs* with At Home cover.
