Do I need special breakdown cover for an electric car?
No. Your breakdown cover with us includes electric and hybrid vehicles, not just petrol and diesel ones. That means you don't need a different policy if you drive an electric car.
All our mechanics are High Voltage Awareness trained, so they're fully qualified to take a look at electric car batteries. All other faults will be repaired as standard.
How much does hybrid and electric breakdown cover cost?
It doesn't cost any more than standard cover. Our policies cover traditional diesel and petrol vehicles as well as electric ones.
Our breakdown cover starts from just a few pounds a month, with different types of policies to suit you.
What should I do if my hybrid or electric vehicle breaks down?

Next, contact us so we can get help to you as quickly as possible.
- You can use our app to let us know you've broken down and send us your location. Our tap and track feature lets you track the mechanic as he arrives at your car.
- Share your location on our quick online form and we'll send a mechanic out to you.
- Give us a call on 03330 046 046 to let us know you've broken down. We'll get you sorted.
Can an electric car be fixed at the roadside?
If your battery runs flat, we won't be able to fix it at the roadside. But we'll get you going again as quickly as possible by towing you to the nearest charging station. Once your car's had a charge, you'll be good to go.
For any other faults, we fix them as standard. If it's a flat tyre or a lost key, we can usually fix it there and then. In fact, we fix 8 out of 10 cars at the roadside, so you're in safe hands.
What happens if my electric car runs out of battery?
We'll tow you to the nearest charging station or to your destination - whichever's closer. Just contact us and we'll get you going again.

Yes. Let us know you've broken down and we'll send out one of our trusted mechanics to tow you to the nearest charging point.
